The Dual Tones Series takes a different direction, focusing on limitation to open up new creative paths. This is perhaps the most experimental part of the project, a provocative exercise in seeing where the imagery is stripped down to just two color tones, with grayscale usually dominating the frame.
By blending the simplicity of black and white with a single element of color, these photographs create a strange, unexpected balance. They exist somewhere between two different worlds, highlighting an artistic freedom that comes from working within strict visual boundaries.
While many pieces in this series lean into dark, heavy tones, others do the exact opposite. Some images are built on soft light and vivid, luminous colors.
A young girl floats underwater above a sandy seabed, with hair drifting and sunlight filtering through the surface to create shimmering patterns on the sand and body.
A young woman in a light bikini standing underwater in a yoga‑like pose above the sandy seabed as soft blue light filters through the water.
A young girl in a bright red and sunglasses outfit floating underwater above the sandy seabed as hair drifts and soft light filters through the water.
This contrast is what drives the series, moving from deep shadows to sudden, bright spaces.
A young girl swims underwater toward a vivid piece of orange fabric, with the dark water creating strong contrast as light highlights the movement and texture of both the fabric and the surrounding water.
